Start a whiteboard session
A whiteboard feature for teams to collaborate with has been one of our most popular requests lately, so we are very excited to announce our partnership with Miro, an online collaboration platform. Whereby users can now start a whiteboard session from any video meeting by navigating to the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
You’ll then be able to use Miro for mapping out flow charts, hosting a virtual sticky notes session or taking meeting notes. All the work will be saved for future viewing once you’ve created a Miro account. Give it a try and let us know what you think.
End a meeting for everyone
Need to free up your room? You can now ‘End meeting for all’ on Whereby, bringing your call to a close with just one click and avoiding any long awkward goodbyes. If you’re the meeting host, just hover over the ‘Leave’ button during any call to access this feature.
Introducing ‘Picture in Picture’
For anyone who’s ever needed to browse a different website or view a document during a video meeting, our new ‘Picture in Picture’ feature is here to help. Once activated, you’ll still be able to see the other people in your meeting while also checking out other tabs on your browser or local files and applications on your computer. You can turn this feature on and off as often as you need.
Support Center makeover
We have just launched a brand new hub for all of your customer support needs. Here you’ll find answers on everything from billing and subscriptions to troubleshooting and how to get the most out of Whereby for you and your team. Start exploring the new-look Support Center now.
The science of meetings
We’ve teamed up with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to explore how people are using virtual meetings in 2020. To help shape the future of Whereby’s video meeting experience, please take a moment to fill out our survey.
We hope you enjoy using these features as much as we enjoyed creating them!
