Whereby on the Cloud Security Alliance STAR registry

As a key SaaS player in the video market and as an avid cloud user, Whereby is proud to announce its Cloud Security Alliance STAR registry entry.

When the concept of “cloud” was first introduced in the tech world years ago, there was a major reluctance from security professionals. This usually came in the form of being uneasy with having another entity access your infrastructure and data. Years have passed and the concerns have shifted from being uneasy with how a company uses the cloud, to delivering quality service with the cloud all the time.

The Cloud Security Alliance is one of the most prominent organizations dedicated to defining how the cloud should be used securely and raises awareness of best practices. It is also a key special interest group in ISO terminology. It’s essential for Whereby to stay on top of the latest best practices and trends around cloud and application security, not just for its intrinsic value but also to maintain our ISO27001 certification

The STAR registry is a list of companies that have either self-assessed or have been audited for the implementation of industry best practices for cloud usage.

Interested companies can now simply download the comprehensive questionnaire from the CSA STAR registry to satisfy their compliance requirements and to understand what they are committing to when moving forward with Whereby.

The CSA also offers specialized training for cloud professionals, making it easier to architect and operate a cloud environment. Whereby has staff certified by the CSA with the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge, giving Whereby’s customers more confidence in our operational posture to support our contractual commitments of availability and reliability.
